What did you build at Hackagong?
SideProjectors: a marketplace for developers to sell & buy side projects.

Why that idea and how did it come to you?
Internet has enabled many people to take up programming. One of the joys of programming is the ability to start your own side projects (see GitHub or Bitbucket for example).

But we noticed many interesting side projects often get killed or discontinued. We thought it would be awesome if there is a community where developers can find other people who can take over their projects.

How was your weekend experience at Hackagong and/or Demo Day?
Very good. There was a good mix of people and an open place to meet them. The venue was excellent to work on the project.

What’s the grand future vision for what it could become?
To become the go-to place for creative types to exchange ideas, discover interesting people and side projects and exchange goods.

What’s happened with the project since Hackagong?
I posted SideProjectors on a forum the day when I launched (August 8) and when I woke up, the traffic to the site crashed my server over night (it recovered thankfully). There were almost 6000 visitors in a space of 5 hours.

Over 140 side projects have been listed on the platform, and over 10 projects have already been sold.

Since launch, the site has received quite a lot of media attention:

DailyDot- New service lets you buy sad, abandoned startups for as low as $10

HuffingtonPost – Offers Half-Finished Startups At Bargain Prices
