Team Whispr / Hackagong 2013

Team name
Whispr (originally Shrödinger’s Chat)

Team members
Rhys Powell and Jordan Gillman

How did the team meet?
We first met when we teamed up at Hackagong 2012

What did you build at Hackagong?
We built Whispr – A dead simple, zero account, disposable chat app

Why that idea and how did it come to you?
We were looking for something we could build that would be a well packaged, elegant solution to a problem that faced more than just designers/devs. At the same time – Rhys was keen to play with Meteor.js and its asynchronous stuff – so chat seemed like a good way to investigate that.

How was your weekend experience at Hackagong and/or Demo Day?
Really great – we’re stoked we aimed for a finite feature set (which was achievable) and were able to polish it nicely.

What’s next for your product development?
Whispr is being made open source, so others can use it in the future

What’s the grand future vision for what it could become?
We’d love to see forks of Whispr being used by people as a way of tech support, and customer support. Full Github repo: https://github.com/rpowelll/whispr
